The Importance of Joining Healthcoaches of America

Health coaching is becoming a standardized and regulated profession in the healthcare industry. HCA brings together members of the complimentary medicine community.  Our mission is to promote understanding and effective utilization of health communication to bring the best possible, personalized healthcare to the public, to educate, certify and provide health coaches with the latest tools and skills in promoting preemptive/preventative strategies.

The membership is acquired by notifying Healthcoaches of America and applying for membership. Most health professionals qualify as members, as long as, they are involved with an activity in health coaching for one year or longer. To become a member of Healthcoaches of America, a healthcoach must have a degree from university sponsored health promotion or a similar health related program. To become a board certified member of Healthcoaches of America, participants must register for a certification seminar and a board certification exam that will provide the member with a Board Certification in Healthcoaching.

Who Qualifies for Membership

Anyone involved with complimentary medicine qualifies to become a member. That may include nurses, physicians, technicians, kinesiologists, dieticians and nutritionists, exercise physiology professionals, fitness trainers and wellness instructors, behavioral counselors or health promotion educators.

Healthcoaches of Ameria informs and educates employers, large health providers and health plans on latest advancements in health promotion and health management.  HCA provides seminars and integrating corporate management and health professionals discussions to better understand the problems facing employee's health and develop new strategies in healthcare cost containment.
